Tommy, I just LOVED your expressive reading! You really nailed it. And, the details (especially Daddy's quotes) were amazing as well. I am very proud of you! Love, Mommy
I am impressed with Tommy's expressive reading of his story. I wonder if the snake might be one he saw while visiting the Seattle zoo this Christmas. Nancy, Tommy's Grandma
Tommy, I enjoyed your story. Where were you and your daddy when you saw this snake? Do you think your daddy was scared? I know your mom would have been scared. But not Lizzie. Also, great job reading your story!
Great story, Tommy! I wonder if you saw this snake at zoo lights at the zoo?? I saw a rattlesnake in person in Utah once but thankfully it left me alone! I miss you already! Emily, Tommy's Aunt
What a great story, Tommy. Did you see the snake at the zoo while you were here in Seattle over the holidays? I remember seeing that snake last summer and it was super big and super scary. You're a great story teller and reader. Please keep it up.
I especially liked your illustrations for the snake story, and because I’m a little afraid of all snakes, it was very understandable that you were frightened by that really huge one. Your dad is quite calm about things, so that’s probably why he said it wasn’t necessary to leave the snake exhibit quickly. The glass cages provided protection for you, and for the snakes. Your next story might be told from the snakes’ point of view: are they a little afraid of all the people coming and peering at them?
