Windsocks in the Wind

Students made their own windsocks to see which way the wind was blowing. We talked about the sometimes confusing concept of naming winds by the direction they are coming FROM, not the direction they are blowing to. Since they have had firsthand experience making these lovely windsocks, students are primed as experts for our How To book about this subject! How To books are the focus of our new writing unit. We are excited to share our digital poetry collections with you on the 31st to celebrate the finish of our poetry unit.
