Measurement

In math students have been measuring objects with various non-standard units, such as plastic cubes. Today we played a game where students tried to "fool" each other about the lengths of different strips of paper...by hiding the endpoints behind a folder. Students have learned the importance of starting with the same endpoint or starting line when comparing the length of two or more objects. They have also been working on ordering three objects from shortest to longest. Ask your child to find three objects at home and order them for you from shortest to longest or longest to shortest!
